Project description
The Kambarata-1 Hydropower Project is a transformational clean energy initiative aimed at enhancing energy security, maximizing water-energy potential, strengthening regional cooperation, and accelerating the transition to clean energy in the Kyrgyz Republic and Central Asia. In June 2024, an agreement for the joint development of the Kambarata-1 HPP was signed by the Ministers of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
