GIZ Projects Showcased Sustainable Solutions at Eco Expo Central Asia 2026

From 2–4 June 2026, the GIZ projects Green Central Asia Phase II, EU4SustainableCentralAsia: Joint Action and Coordination on Water, Energy and Climate Change, and Climate-Sensitive Water Resources Management in Central Asia participated in Eco Expo Central Asia 2026 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The joint exhibition stand highlighted ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation on climate action, sustainable water resources management, and the green transition in Central Asia. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about project activities, achievements, and innovative approaches supporting climate resilience and sustainable development across the region. The exhibition also served as a platform for dialogue with government representatives, development partners, academia, civil society, and the private sector, fostering knowledge exchange and promoting regional collaboration on environmental and climate-related challenges. Through their participation, the projects reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Central Asian countries in advancing sustainable and climate-resilient solutions for the benefit of present and future generations.
